Senior Associate Vice President, USF Health & Dean, USF College of Pharmacy

Dr. Sneed is a tenured Professor and the founding Dean of the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy. He is a Senior Associate Vice-President for USF Health. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a concentration in Microbiology from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Sneed received his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy, where he received numerous clinical and leadership awards. Dr. Sneed completed an Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Practice Specialty Residency at Bay Pines Veteran’s Administration Medical Center.

The USF College of Pharmacy recently achieved full accreditation under his leadership. Dr. Sneed was recently named "Innovator or the Year" by the Florida Pharmacy Association. Dr. Sneed is implementing disruptive medical technologies by opening a "Futuristic Pharmacy." Technology and Knowledge Meet in USF Health's "Ph…: http://youtu.be/dGs4ZoYR3k0. Dr. Sneed’s research and clinical interests includes patients with Cardio-Metabolic Disorders, and examining Health Care Disparities. He is a national lecturer on both topics. Recent research interests include the pharmacogenomics of Statin-Induced Myalgias. He served as a Co-Director in the Center for Equal Health, a cancer health disparities partnership between USF Health and Moffitt Cancer Center. He is very active in community healthcare initiatives. He directed an innovative community initiative known as IN-SHAPE, which addressed cardiovascular disparities in African-American and Hispanic communities. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, and has participated in multiple grant projects and clinical trials.

Dr. Sneed is on the Health Equities Committee for the American Heart Association- Greater Southeast Affiliate; Area Health Education Center- USF (Gulfcoast North), Board of Directors; and previously on the Hillsborough County Sickle Cell Association, Board of Directors for 12 years.
