Swami Satya Brahmananda Saraswati
Founder, Universal Yoga Center
Swami Satya Brahmananda Saraswati is a retired professor of Standford University. He was born in the state of Bihar, India. Swami ji is the founder and spiritual head of Universal Yoga Center, which has branches in more then 18 countries worldwide. Swami’s mission is to love and serve all. He has taught yoga and meditation to more than 100,000 people all over the globe from different walks of life. In 2005, he established the Dig Darsan Senior Secondary School in Bihar, India, which has more than 1200 students. Goal is to educate the mind and heart to change the world; Sa Vidya Ya Vimukatye means knowledge for liberation from physical, intellectual and spiritual bondages.
He holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Patna University, India,
an M.A. (Philosophy) Banaras Hindu University, India, and M.S. Oxford University, U.K
He has traveled worldwide conducting seminars, lectures and workshops, teaching electrical engineering at Concordia University University, Canada. In the US, he has taught at Stanford University, Michigan University.
Swami was NGO representative of the United Nations and an Associate member of the association of The United States of America from 1991 to 1994. He was a member of the Communications Coordination Committee of the United Nations and United Nation Economic and Social Council (ECSO) and U.N. observer to Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 1991.
