Jeffery Bleich, MD
Founder & CEO, Pulson, Inc.
Dr. Bleich is the founder and CEO of Pulson, Inc. The company’s first product is the Counterpace® guidance system, a sensor-based training platform that leverages a recent breakthrough in exercise science to enhance performance, efficiency, experience and health during most aerobic activities. Initially launched for competitive runners, their published work supports the benefits of the technology across a variety of sport, fitness, and medical applications.
Prior to Pulson, Dr. Bleich founded Baxano in 2005, a company dedicated to more effective, less invasive spine surgery. Baxano Surgical (NASDAQ: BAXS) was acquired by Amendia, Inc. in 2014. He also worked as an executive in residence at Prospect Venture Partners, a healthcare-dedicated venture capital firm, and as a product designer at IDEO, an internationally renowned design and consulting firm. Dr. Bleich has 30 years of clinical experience in anesthesiology and pain management, and currently practices at Stanford University Medical Center.
Dr. Bleich received a master’s degree in business as a Sloan Fellow at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, an M.D. from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School and an undergraduate degree in biology, also from Stanford. He completed an anesthesiology residency at UCLA and a pain management fellowship at the University of Washington.
