Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Meta. Partnerships are core and a key strategy for competitive advantage for Meta. Meta is designing a future where augmented reality becomes a healthy, vital extension of who we are and creates deeper understanding, freer expression, and optimal productivity.

John founded Ideas in Action, Inc., a non-profit that created, and currently leads, the innovative enterprise TEDxBeaconStreet. Inspired by his involvement with TED, John compiled a diverse group of 500+ innovators, storytellers and speakers since 2012. Within three months, the videos of the thrilling talks shattered the team’s record of 2 million views and these talks are now beyond 50 million views. As a member of the MIT Media Lab Camera Culture group, John served as the group’s Head of Innovation and New Ventures and the founding Managing Director of Emerging Worlds SIG.

John held the titles of Chief Mobilizing Officer, Managing Director and a founding member of the Citizen Schools education initiative. After transforming Citizen Schools from a concept paper in 1995.

John is a graduate of Hamilton College, and worked as a teacher in Boston Public Schools and principal for several years. He later went on to receive Harvard University’s Loeb Fellowship in 2008. A few of John’s accolades include being named one of BostonInno’s “50 on Fire” in 2013, being named one of Boston’s Ten Outstanding Young Leaders in 2006.
